Сities4Cities ACADEMY is a training platform of the Cities4Cities | United4Ukraine initiative for local government managers in Ukraine. The Academy aims to provide practical knowledge on international cooperation for the successful development of municipalities in the context of European integration.

Cities4Cities United4Ukraine are partnership initiatives that joined forces in September 2022. The project helps Ukrainian municipalities establish intermunicipal partnerships with municipalities in Europe. 

Cities4Cities was founded by the city of Sindelfingen (Germany) under the patronage of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe.

United 4 Ukraine was launched by SALAR International and the city of Lviv (Ukraine) with the support of the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida).

Project management in the municipality

With this course from Cities4Cities | United4Ukraine, we aim to bring Ukrainian municipalities to a new level of project management for sustainable development, increase their capacity to effectively apply international cooperation in the implementation of international projects.


European integration for Ukrainian municipalities

This course from Cities4Cities | United4Ukraine will fill in the gaps in your knowledge and provide you with valuable first-hand information on how Ukrainian municipalities can more actively participate in EU programs and develop cooperation at the European level.

You will also prepare for the EU accession process and learn about the EU policies and standards that should be taken into account when implementing various projects at the local level.


International cooperation for municipalities

Is it possible to imagine a community without an international cooperation department? Of course not, because in the current conditions and time of European integration, it is necessary to develop partnerships, participate in European competitions and deepen our expertise in this area.

Interaction between civilian authorities and the military

The lack of established procedures and expertise, especially in the context of the post-February 24 scale, has posed a significant challenge to the interaction between civilian authorities and the military.

That is why, in this three-day online training, we have gathered experts who are ready to share examples of successful practices that are already working: from supporting veteran startups to creating recruitment centers.
