Cities4Cities team met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to Ukraine Martin Oberg
We had the pleasure to meet in our office with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to Ukraine Martin Oberg and his Counselor, Head of Political Department Kasper Anderson.
Three years ago, the Embassy of Sweden hosted the first discussions about education for municipalities. And now we are sharing the results of our Cities4Cities | United4Ukraine initiative, where SALAR International.org.ua is among the co-founders with the support of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
Our success would not have been so effective if it were not for the strong support of Sweden:
establishing more than 50 inter-municipal partnerships;
advocacy of the role of communities in the process of European integration
educational component – ACADEMY Cities4Cities, Residences of Ideas, etc.

Cities4Cities | United4Ukraine are partnership initiatives that joined forces in September 2022. Cities4Cities was founded by the city of Sindelfinden (Germany) under the patronage of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe. United 4 Ukraine was launched by SALAR International and the city of Lviv (Ukraine) with the support of the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida).
