Unfortunately, the project’s budget for 2023 has already been exhausted (5 June 2023). We are looking for further funding opportunities for the project and European partners who would like to give their (municipal) vehicles to Ukrainian communities free of charge.
The PHOENIX4UA humanitarian aid project aims to support the reconstruction of Ukrainian communities through the needs-based delivery of used commercial vehicles and municipal technology. Many communities in Ukraine have been severely affected due to the war and are in urgent need of support in repairing the consequences of the destructive missile attacks, restoring their infrastructure and building their economy.
The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) has awarded the city of Sindelfingen (Cities 4 Cities | United 4 Ukraine) almost one million euros as a non-repayable grant to promote municipal engagement in Ukraine for the procurement of commercial vehicles to support Ukrainian municipalities for the year 2023.
“We are very pleased that the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development is supporting our commitment in Ukraine with almost one million euros. The procurement of used commercial vehicles by the city of Sindelfingen supports the tireless efforts of Ukrainian municipalities in coping with the consequences of the war and for reconstruction. From all the feedback we have received from our Ukrainian friends since the beginning of the war, the supply of commercial vehicles is of elementary importance, because the technology is in use every day and saves human lives.”
Shares Dr. Bernd Vöhringer, Lord Mayor of Sindelfingen.

We also provide communicative support if your congregation is interested in engaging in dialogue with the Ukrainian community.
