Community and War

From the first days of the war, the residents of the Banyliv community rushed to defend their Motherland from russian aggression. Today, about 200 men defend Ukraine in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Unfortunately, 14 soldiers from our community have already died, 6 are considered missing.

Residents of the community actively help the military. 32 cars, 14 drones, 8 Starlinks and many other things were purchased and sent to the front line with their own funds. The children of the community do not stand aside either – they write letters and draw charms, as well as participate in weaving camouflage nets.

Great attention was also paid to internally displaced persons. During the first 3 months of the war, 448 people from the southern and eastern regions of Ukraine moved to the community. The community provided them with housing, constantly helps with food and other means.

During his tenure, the head of the Banyliv community managed to unite 4 different villages into a single body and adjust the work of the community. During the difficult wartime, the village head had a double responsibility for every resident of the Banyliv community, for the soldiers who protect the native land, and for the displaced persons.

Under the leadership of Vasyl Solomko, the community received and accommodated more than 600 internally displaced persons. A memorandum of cooperation on the construction of modular houses for internally displaced persons was signed with the international organization Gdag international. So far, about 20 units have been built.

Also, with the assistance of the head, a space for psychological relief was created for military personnel, their families and community residents, including children.

The Administrative Services Center of the Banyliv rural community was created as well.
