Map of Communities That Received Municipal Equipment Through the Phoenix4UA Project in 2023

Unfortunately, the project’s budget for 2023 has already been used up (24 November 2023). We are looking for further funding opportunities for the project in 2024 and European partners who would like to give their (municipal) vehicles to Ukrainian communities free of charge.

More than 600 ukrainian communities at our platform are currently in urgent need of support with municipal vehicles. Please contact us at [email protected] for more information.

The Phoenix4UA humanitarian aid project aims to support the reconstruction of Ukrainian communities through the needs-based delivery of used municipal vehicles and technique. Many communities in Ukraine have been severely affected due to the war and are in urgent need of support in eliminating the consequences of the destructive missile attacks, restoring their infrastructure and rebuilding their economy.

The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) has awarded the city of Sindelfingen (Cities4Cities United4Ukraine) 1,25 million euros as a non-repayable grant to promote municipal engagement in Ukraine for the procurement of commercial vehicles to support Ukrainian municipalities for the year 2023.

“We are very pleased that the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development is supporting our commitment in Ukraine with 1,25 million euros. The procurement of used commercial vehicles by the city of Sindelfingen supports the tireless efforts of Ukrainian municipalities in coping with the consequences of the war and for reconstruction. From all the feedback we have received from our Ukrainian friends since the beginning of the war, the supply of commercial vehicles is of elementary importance, because the technology is in use every day and saves human lives.” Shares Dr. Bernd Vöhringer, Lord Mayor of Sindelfingen

If your municipality would like to either donate or sell used municipal vehicles and/or technique to Ukrainian municipalities within the scope of the Phoenix4UA project, please contact us:
