History
The Feodosiivska community was formed on June 12, 2020 by merging 8 surrounding villages. Each population center of the community has its own unique nature and history. The name of the community was formed in honor of St. Theodosius of Pechersk, one of the founders of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and a cenobitic monasticism in Rus.
In the village of Lisnyki lived the grandfather of the outstanding historian Mykhailo Hrushevsky – Fedir Hrushevsky, who was a priest of the Transfiguration Church in the village of Lisnyky.
Levko Lukyanenko, a Ukrainian dissident, political figure and author of the Act of Proclamation of Independence of Ukraine, lived in the village of Khotiv.
In order to preserve the history of the native region, the Mykhailo Hrushevskyi Museum, the Museum of Education, the Museum of Local History and Ethnography are located on the premises of the Lisnyky Lyceum, where one can familiarize oneself with archaeological finds, learn interesting historical facts and see really rare exhibits.
Many interesting tourist, historic and natural sites, forest areas and lakes are located on the territory of the community.
In the village of Khodosivka, there is a landscape reserve – Planerna Hora – an interesting place of Kyiv region, which is used for paragliding and hang-gliding and attracts not only those who dream of feeling the unrestrained flight, but also those who appreciate bright landscapes, admire nature and the uniqueness of each sunset.
Among the villages of Velyka Buhaivka, Hvozdiv, Krushynka, and Roslavychi is a picturesque area that became a landscape reserve in 1999 and received the name “Vasylkivski Carpathians”.

This station is an educational observatory for students and a base for scientific research. The coordinates of the village of Lisnyki are included in all astronomical catalogs of the world, and most observatories of the planet refer to the experiments of “Lisnyki astronomers”.
Economy and Welfare
Proximity to the capital has a tangible impact on the lives of residents of the Feodosiivska community – both positive and negative. On the one hand, numerous offices, grocery stores, and shopping centers are located here. On the other hand, the community is a territory of contrast. A rich historical and cultural heritage is combined with chaotic private construction – a legacy of past years.
The picturesque terrain and the wealth of nature coexist with the tragic ecological situation caused by the 35-year poisoning of groundwater and air by the largest landfill in Ukraine, which is located nearby (solid household waste landfill No. 5 of the city of Kyiv, located in the village of Pidhirka).
About 1,700 business entities operate on the territory of the Fedosiivska rural territorial community, most of which engage in retail trade, service, agriculture, and the field of entertainment and recreation.
Equides Club, a park and hotel complex, is located in the village of Lisnyki. It includes a riding academy, a shooting club, and a golf center.
Also, on the territory of the village of Lisnyky is the BIOLOGIST craft winery, which can be visited by anyone. This is an opportunity to literally visit the home of winemaker Ihor Petrenko, get to know the production and philosophy of Biologist as closely as possible, immerse oneself in the atmosphere of winemaking, and have a great time in nature.
Ukraine’s first shopping complex in the outlet format was opened in the village of Khodosivka. It is stylized as an old Northern European town with a town hall, three streets, canals, fountains and street sculptures.
Community and War
At the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine in February-March 2022, part of the Kyiv region was under occupation and suffered devastating consequences, such as the death of community residents, the destruction of communal and private civil infrastructure facilities.
The Feodosiivska rural territorial community was not under occupation and no active hostilities were conducted on its territory.
However, during 2022-2024, cases of damage to civil infrastructure due to the fall of fragments of downed missiles and drones were recorded in the population centers of the community. Also, regular massive missile strikes by the russian federation on energy facilities in the city of Kyiv, Kyiv region, and Ukraine as a whole bring serious consequences for the community. Due to the damage and destruction of critical infrastructure, emergency shutdowns of electricity are introduced, water supply and drainage systems do not operate at full capacity, mobile communication and Internet failures occur, which complicate the living conditions of the population, and also limit the conduct of business activities.
Local authorities, public organizations, businesses and residents of the community have joined their efforts and help and support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Caring citizens weave camouflage nets, make trench candles, buy the necessary equipment, appliances and equipment, cook and deliver homemade meals all the time.
People of the Community
Today, the Feodosiivska rural territorial community is headed by Oleksandr Hladush, acting village head and secretary of the Feodosiivska village council.
Undoubtedly, the full-scale war made adjustments to the everyday life of the community. Some of the residents joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the voluntary military formation of the Feodosiivska community. The other part is actively involved in volunteer activities and helps our military working in the home front. The youngest inhabitants of the community – schoolchildren – regularly participate in charity fairs to raise funds for the needs of the military.
It is worth noting that more than 2,000 internally displaced persons found shelter in the Feodosiivska rural territorial community.
Despite the difficulties of life in the conditions of war, the community residents do not lose hope for the best and the approaching Victory and find relief in the cultural and sports sections.
Many outstanding, talented and well-known personalities lived and still live in the territory of the Feodosiivska community.
Development Strategy
Currently, the Development Strategy of the Feodosiivska Territorial Community is under development. Prospective areas for development in the community are craft production, agriculture, as well as agro- and ecotourism, thanks to the successful location near the city of Kyiv and picturesque landscapes.
