History

Pervomaiskyi is one of the youngest towns in Ukraine. It owes its foundation to the construction of the Kursk-Kharkiv-Azov railway in 1869. The station built here was named Lykhachove, in honour of a nobleman, a lieutenant general of the russian army, who had previously donated his land for the construction of the railway. After World War Two, in 1952, Lykhachove became a district centre and was renamed Pervomaiskyi. And in 1991 Pervomaiskyi became a town.

The humanitarian potential that the community had (we received foods as aid from our foreign partners) is also working, but there are things that we have to buy every day: vegetables, meat products”,
